2019 Charitable Recipients

The El Cerrito Library Foundation is a community-based, non-profit organization developing support for creating and maintaining a modern public library in El Cerrito that will meet the learning, cultural, and recreational needs for persons of all ages.
 
CCCT is a not-for-profit community theatre and one of only three live performing arts organizations with permanent homes in West Contra Costa County. Our mission is to provide affordable, high quality entertainment to residents throughout the East Bay and to provide training in live performing arts for children and adults.Funds from Sip & Savor will benefit CCCT’s patron experiences and educational programs, including the Drama Camp Scholarship Fund.
 
RotaCare Richmond is a Free Medical Clinic for the uninsured in Richmond, staffed by 90 volunteers. Funds raised go directly to patient care.
 
El Cerrito High School
The ECHS Garden is a beautiful, peaceful haven for the entire ECHS community. It is used on a daily basis by students and staff to experience the natural world first hand, practice photography, rehearse plays and de-stress. The garden's creation has been a group effort involving myself, students, parents, teachers, Eagle Scouts and community members. Thanks for supporting the continuing evolution of our garden because 'Beauty brings us hope'.
 
The James Morehouse Project works to create positive changes in the El Cerrito High School community through health services, counseling, academic support and the arts. Founded in 1999, the James Morehouse Project assumes youth have the skills, values and commitments to make positive change happen in their own lives and the life of our school community. The James Morehouse Project partners with community and government agencies, local providers and universities.

The David Hunter Memorial Youth Scholarship Fund offers financial assistance to youth that may not have otherwise been able to participate in City of El Cerrito recreational programs, such as youth enrichment classes, camps and swim lessons.
The Milo Foundation rescues adoptable at-risk animals and matches them with loving homes, and provides Sanctuary to those animals in need of special care.
 
Camp Kesem is a free summer camp for children affected by a parent’s cancer.  All funds will go directly towards making this empowering experience possible.
